Who Coaching Is For
You might consider coaching if you…
- Are curious, insightful, and ready to move forward
- Feel stuck or uncertain about what’s next
- Want support navigating a life transition (career shift, relationship changes, new parenthood, relocation, etc.)
- Desire more alignment between your values, goals, and daily actions
- Crave accountability, structure, and someone to help you stay on track
- Already have some insight into yourself (for example, from therapy or reflection) and want to act on it
Coaching ≠Therapy
Life coaching is forward-focused, goal-oriented support to help you gain clarity, move through transitions, and take practical steps toward a life you love. Coaching does not involve diagnosis, mental health treatment, or exploring deep pathology. If you feel stuck in longstanding emotional pain, severe anxiety or depression, or symptoms of trauma, therapy may be more appropriate. That said, coaching can be a powerful companion to therapy or a standalone resource for growth, clarity, and accountability.
Emotions (Coaching Focus) | Symptoms (Therapy Focus) |
---|---|
Natural, everyday feelings that arise in response to life events | Ongoing patterns that may signal a mental health condition |
Examples: nervous before a big change, excited about possibilities, frustrated with follow-through, hopeful about the future | Examples: panic attacks, persistent sadness, intrusive memories, suicidal thoughts, inability to function in daily life |
Provide valuable information about needs, values, and direction | Cause significant distress or impairment in work, relationships, or health |
Explored as signals for growth, clarity, and action | Require clinical assessment, treatment, and therapeutic support |
My Coaching Approach & Style
In coaching sessions, I blend:
- Goal-setting + vision work: What do you truly want? What’s the horizon you’re heading toward?
- Values alignment: Ensuring your goals reflect your deepest values
- Action planning + accountability: Concrete steps, check-ins, and support to follow through
- Inner work: Exploring limiting beliefs, inner critics, and mindset blocks
- Embodied practices: Somatic awareness, breathing, movement—to help ground shifts in your nervous system
- Reflective inquiry: Thoughtful questioning to help you unlock new perspectives
Though coaching is forward-oriented, we may sometimes reflect on past barriers to glean insight that supports your momentum. In coaching, we turn insight into experiments, action steps, and skill development. I draw from the G.R.O.W. Model: Goal, Current Reality (R), Options, and Will (or Way Forward).

How It Works
- Free discovery consultation call (15–30 min). We explore your goals, see if we’re a good fit, and clarify whether coaching or therapy is the right support.
- Coaching engagement. We will determine our ongoing structure, meeting weekly or biweekly depending on your needs.
- Session format. Sessions are held virtually, typically 50 minutes, but we can meet for shorter or longer periods of time at a prorated fee.
- Homework & accountability. You’ll leave with action items or reflections to integrate between sessions. I’ll support you in following through.
- Ongoing reflection and feedback. We’ll regularly check in on what’s working, what’s shifting, and where adjustments may help.
